The Teach on Mars application can be equipped with a QR code scanner. It can be launched from:
- a communication
- an educational activity (within a training course)
- the add-ons page
To activate the QR code scanner, the activation must have been requested to your Teach on Mars project manager, and your application must have been "republished" on the stores after the release of this feature (May 2019). To use it later on the application, it's easy: just scan a QR code and you're done.
How to add the QR code scanner?
1. In a communication
To have the QR code scanner in an educational activity, simply create a "Web link" type communication and use as a link the URL of your webapp followed by "deeplink? Name = qrCode". (For example: https://tom-webapp.teachonmars.com/deeplink?name=qrCode).

Why (in which occasions) using the QR code scanner?
There are many reasons to use QR codes in the Teach on Mars app, for example, to allow your learners to directly enroll in training course, to promote a content, to boost your training device. You will find some examples on our blog post announcing this novelty.
