The Teach on Mars solution allows learners to connect in Guest mode with a limited access to the application. Guest mode is an optional feature : it must be enabled on your Mission Center to be able to use it. To do this, get in touch with your project manager or your account manager.
1. Prerequisites:
- Guest Mode involves licensing. We invite you to contact your Account Manager for more information on billing related to license management.
- Ask the Teach on Mars team to enable Guest Mode when deploying the App.
2.
In the drop-down menu of the Guest access field, select Demo.
Finish by clicking on Save.
Invited learners can view the home page and the access to each course depends on how it is configured:
- "invisible" guest access: it is a private access where the training course is invisible to the guest. It becomes visible (description and training course) and can be downloaded when the guest has authenticated.
-
"demo" guest access: this is a semi-public access where the training course is visible to the guest (description and training course). It can be downloaded when the guest has authenticated.
-
"downloadable" guest access: it is a public access where the training course is visible (description and training course) and can be downloaded by the guest.
Note: The following features cannot be accessed in guest mode:
- The dual mode
- The Live! mode
- The integrated forum
- The ranking
When the invited learner tries to access these functionalities, a message then asks to create an account in order to access them.
In guest mode, statistical information is accumulated on the user's terminal, the guest learner is not counted towards the licenses used by the Mission Center. When the guest creates a learner account on the application, these statistical data are published (ranking) and fed back to the management interface (Mission Center). Go to the Statistics category to learn more.
