More and more of our users are invited to give their feedback on our product through the feedback portal, and we are grateful that they take the time to share their ideas and comment on others' contributions. The portal is not only a way to share and exchange around ideas, but it is also a way for our customers to get information about the status of their feedback. So here is a summary of the process through which the ideas go and the statuses that you may run into on the feedback portal.
New feedback
When a new feedback is submitted, the product team needs to review it and decide what to do with it. It can either be implemented in a minor release or sent to the think tank. The product team may also decide that this feedback will not be implemented.
Minor release
The feedback can be implemented quite easily and is considered a nice improvement for the users so it will be release in one of the future minor releases. The statuses Planned and Shipped give information about the delivery of the release.
Planned
The feedback implementation has been scheduled with our R&D team, so brace yourselves, feature is coming.
Shipped
The feedback implementation has been delivered in a minor release and should be available as long as you are up to date (Mission Centers are automatically updated through minor release, but feel free to contact your project manager to be informed of your application's updated schedule).
Think tank
The feedback is interesting but requires a significant development effort or needs to be part of a greater feature. It will be considered when a new feature related to this functional area is designed.
Already exists
The feedback has already been sent to us by another Teach on Mars user. The search tool in the portal should allow you to find it. Don't hesitate to vote for it to give it more weight.
Will not implement
Teach on Mars will not push further the study of a feedback once its in this state. This shouldn't happen very often as our client's feedbacks are always relevant. But sometimes an upcoming feature or some other event makes it already outdated.
So how can I use this feedback portal ?
If you are a Teach on Mars client and don't already have access to the feedback portal, you may contact your project manager.
