More and more of our users are invited to give their feedback on our product through the feedback portal, and we are grateful that they take the time to share their ideas and comment on others' contributions. The portal is not only a way to share and exchange around ideas, but it is also a way for our customers to get information about the status of their feedback. So here is a summary of the process through which the ideas go and the statuses that you may run into on the feedback portal.
New feedback
When a new feedback is submitted, the Product team needs to review it and decide what to do with it. It can either be implemented in a future release or sent to the Think tank. The product team may also decide that this feedback will not be implemented. All feedbacks are tagged and sorted in our database so that they can be easily retrieved later.
Release candidate
In this case, the feedback has been selected for implementation in an upcoming major update. The Planned and Shipped statuses allow you to follow the progress of the update delivery.
Planned
The feedback implementation has been scheduled with our R&D team, so brace yourselves, feature is coming.
Shipped
The feedback implementation has been delivered in a release and should be available as long as you are up to date (feel free to contact your Customer Success Manager to be informed of your application's updated schedule).
Think tank
The feedback is interesting but requires a significant development effort or needs to be part of a greater feature. It will be considered when a new feature related to this functional area is designed.
Because all ideas are tagged and categorized, the Product team can consult them when designing a new feature and include relevant ones in the product.
Already exists
The feedback relates to a feature that is already implemented in the platform.
Will not implement
Teach on Mars will not push further the study of a feedback once it's in this state. This shouldn't happen very often as our client's feedbacks are always relevant. But sometimes an upcoming feature or some other event makes it already outdated.
So how can I use this feedback portal ?
If you are a Teach on Mars client and don't already have access to the feedback portal, you may contact your Customer Success Manager.
