How do I add a thumbnail to the video?
By default, the thumbnail displayed is the first frame of the video. However, you can choose your own thumbnail by uploading the image to your Mission Center.
For this, when you load your video, you will also be able to upload an image file that will be used as thumbnail for the video.
This image must be in .jpg format, indeed, the .png format is not recognized for this functionality.
Click on the icon on the left of your video management window and select Edit thumbnail. You can then drag and drop your file.
Note: adding thumbnails from the video menu works ONLY for videos loaded by the Web authoring tool.
How do I add subtitles to the video?
Subtitle files are simple text files (created in a text editor such as notepad or other) whose name is that of the video they accompany and the extension is SRT. The file name must also contain the language code.
Here is an example of a subtitle file:
1 00:00:10,233 --> 00:00:15,055 subtitle 1 on two lines 2 00:00:22,264 --> 00:00:26,505 subtitle 2 3 00:00:35,247 --> 00:00:40,298 subtitle 3
As you can see it, three elements compose the subtitle:
- Its number (1, 2, 3,…).
- The display start and end time codes (milliseconds are mandatory).
- The text of the subtitle on one or more lines.
On the other hand, each subtitle is separated from the next by a line break.
About the language code (before the .SRT extension and preceded by a "."), here are some examples :
- for French subtitles, your file will be called myvideo1.fr.srt
- for English subtitles, your file will be called myvideo1.en.srt
- for Italian subtitles, your file will be called myvideo1.it.srt
- for Spanish subtitles, your file will be called myvideo1.es.srt
- etc.
The file must also be inserted in the video management window.
Note: the encoding must be in UTF-8 and language code for SRT use ISO 639-1

PLAYING VIDEO CONTENTS ON APPLICATIONS
When downloading a course, the learner can choose whether or not to use the offline mode. If the training contains one or more videos, in the case of the offline mode, the video contents will be downloaded to their device. Otherwise, the videos are not downloaded and the learner will need an internet connection each time he wants to watch a video. This will be done by streaming.
By default, the offline mode is disabled to limit the storage space used by the app on the learners' mobile.
Note: If a video has been downloaded to the learner's mobile, he can delete it at any time in order to increase his memory space.
