The Mobile Course can include transition cards, which allow to separate two topics or present the next topic. Transition cards are used to structure the flow of information.

Academic purpose

The Mobile Course can be used in all stages of the ELPA cycle and especially in the Learn stage.

Features 

1) Versions previous to 19.6 version:

• Information Cards and Transition Cards
• Information card: unlimited content (with scrolling on some mobiles from 400 characters)
• Transition card: content limited to 50 characters
• Card title limited to 25 characters

2) As from version 19.6:

• Same cards as for previous versions
• Quiz cards: 
  • Per question : 1 correct answer, 1 or 2 incorrect answer(s)
  • Question in image (optional)
  • Correction after each question, limited to 350 characters
  • Questions limited to 150 characters, answers limited to 50 characters
• Flash cards: 
  • Recto and verso cards: unlimited content (with scrolling on some mobile devices from 350 characters)
  • Recto and verso titles of the card limited to 25 characters
  • Display verso buttons limited to 20 characters

How to fill in the Excel® Mobile Course activity template?

All activities can be downloaded from:

by clicking at the top right of the screen on Activity templates.

They can also be downloaded from the training course authoring page.

Note: it is recommended to download the activity templates regularly, or even each time you use them, as these are frequently updated

The Excel® activity template for the Mobile Course activity is made up of three tabs:

1. Instructions
2. Configuration
3. Cards

1. The Instructions tab provides access to the Help Center article on the activity in question. It also shows screenshots of the rendering on the App.

2. The Configuration tab shows the different configurations to configure for the activity:

• D4 cell: the conclusion card title (limited to 25 characters). If the text is not changed, the Activity completed text will be displayed
• D5 cell: the conclusion card text (limited to 400. characters). If the text is not changed, the default text will be displayed

3. The Cards tab allows to create questions: Choose the card-type in column A 

• Info :
  • Column B : front title (limited to 25 characters)
  • Column E : front text (limited to 400 characters to avoid the elevator on iPhone 4)
• Transition :
  • Column E : back text (limited to 50 characters)
• Quiz :
  • Column Q : front text (limited to 50 characters)
  • Column T : specific media column if you wish to add an image (as a reminder, in the specific media columns, it is not necessary to use the media tags [media: myimage.jpg], you just need to inform the name and extension of the image myimage.jpg)
  • Column U : answer 1 (correcte  answer, limited to 50 characters)
  • Column X : answer 2 (incorrecte  answer, limited to 50 characters)
  • Column AA : answer 3 (incorrecte  answer, limited to 50 characters)
  • Column AD : the correction (limited to 350 characters)
• Flash :
  • Column B : front title (limited to 25 characters)
  • Column E : front text (limited to 350 characters to avoid the elevator on iPhone 4)
  • Column H : button text (optional). If the text is not changed, the default text See the solution will be displayed. Limited to 20 characters
  • Column K : back title (limited to 25 characters)
  • Column N : back text (limited to 350 characters to avoid the elevator on iPhone 4)
